Screen 1
Reach the first checkpoint and collect the map.
- Skipping stones
- Lily-pad currents
Match this layout: The starting screen has a left and a right stone beside two lily pads.
Open one clue at a time. The complete sequence stays inside the solution below.
Hint 1
Both pads need to enter the rightward current.
Hint 2
The right stone needs a leftward reposition before its final northward launch.
Show full solution
- Move the left stone west once, then north three tiles.
The impact puts the left pad in the rightward current.
- Move the right stone north once and west three tiles, then east once and north twice.
This sends the second pad into the same current.
- Cross on the moving pads, touch the checkpoint, and collect the map.
The pads supply the route off the starting island.
If the sequence stops working
- These counts start from the untouched starting arrangement; undo experimental pushes before using them.
Sources and scope
These instructions cover the layout described above. A similar-looking board may need a different sequence.
Screen 2
Reach this screen’s checkpoints and continue through Level 1.
- Skipping stones
- Timed lily pads
Match this layout: Two checkpoint positions and two sets of lily pads divide this second numbered screen.
Open one clue at a time. The complete sequence stays inside the solution below.
Hint 1
A stone on a pad can need another push before you board.
Hint 2
The second crossing uses the upper stone first and the remaining stone last.
Show full solution
- Move the first stone west once, south twice, then east into the upper pad. Push it east off that pad and cross to the checkpoint.
The collision lowers the bottom pad into the current; removing the stone frees the crossing.
- Move the upper stone south twice and east four tiles into the upper pad.
This launches the lower pad in the next section.
- Move the other stone east once, north three tiles, and east three tiles.
The pad carrying it enters the current.
- Cross the pads, pushing the riding stone east as needed, and touch the next checkpoint.
The stone must leave space for the character’s crossing.
If the sequence stops working
- Do not omit the first eastward push in the final stone’s east, north three, east three sequence.
Sources and scope
These instructions cover the layout described above. A similar-looking board may need a different sequence.
Screen 3
Reach this screen’s checkpoints and continue through Level 1.
- Skipping stones
- Lily-pad currents
- Cross-screen objects
Match this layout: Two stones and two lily pads sit before a checkpoint on the third screen; Screen 4 lies east.
Open one clue at a time. The complete sequence stays inside the solution below.
Hint 1
The checkpoint crossing and the stone transfer are separate jobs.
Hint 2
After crossing, the right stone goes south over water and four tiles east.
Show full solution
- Push the left stone east twice. Move the other stone west once, then south into the right pad.
Both pads drop into their current lanes.
- Use the pads to reach the checkpoint.
The launched pads connect the islands.
- Push the right stone south across the water, then east four tiles into Screen 4.
The following screen needs this carried-over stone.
If the sequence stops working
- Leaving the right stone behind removes an object used by Screen 4.
Sources and scope
These instructions cover the layout described above. A similar-looking board may need a different sequence.
Screen 4
Reach this screen’s checkpoints and continue through Level 1.
- Skipping stones
- Lily-pad currents
- Rock platforms
Match this layout: Three stones, two pad lanes, and a bottom-right checkpoint; one stone arrives from Screen 3.
Open one clue at a time. The complete sequence stays inside the solution below.
Hint 1
The lower checkpoint requires stones after the initial pad crossing.
Hint 2
Route both remaining stones into its column before pushing the second south.
Show full solution
- Push the right stone north to send the upper pad east. Put another stone in the row above the lower pad and push it east; do the same from the row above the upper pad with the last stone.
The eastward shots turn both pads south into the crossing route.
- Cross the pads to the first checkpoint.
The initial water route is now usable.
- Move the bottom stone south three tiles and east once into the bottom-right checkpoint’s column; push it onto that checkpoint.
It supplies the first endpoint for the bridge.
- Move the other stone north, east, south twice, then east. Push it south until it stops.
It joins the first stone to form a walkable route.
- Push the stone three more tiles south into Screen 5.
The next screen uses that transferred object.
If the sequence stops working
- Using the final stones for unrelated pad launches leaves the lower checkpoint without a bridge.
Sources and scope
These instructions cover the layout described above. A similar-looking board may need a different sequence.
Screen 5
Reach this screen’s checkpoints and continue through Level 1.
- Skipping stones
- Rock platforms
- Cross-screen objects
Match this layout: One stone starts on Screen 5 and another enters from Screen 4; a lily pad sits between separated landmasses.
Open one clue at a time. The complete sequence stays inside the solution below.
Hint 1
First make a two-stone bridge; the pad launch comes afterward.
Hint 2
The first stone is later moved south two, west four, then north into the pad’s row.
Show full solution
- Push the resident right-hand stone east once and south over the water. Bring the imported stone into its column and push it south against the first.
The paired stones connect the next landmass.
- Move the first stone south twice, west four tiles, and north once. Launch it west along the pad’s row.
The pad moves toward the western island.
- Move the remaining stone east three tiles and south once, then launch it west over water into the first stone’s column. Push it south.
The new stone arrangement reaches the next checkpoint.
- Move the stone north until it is one tile below the pad, then west four tiles into Screen 6.
The following room needs the stone in this entry position.
If the sequence stops working
- The westward launch needs the pad’s row; launching from the row below misses it.
Sources and scope
These instructions cover the layout described above. A similar-looking board may need a different sequence.
Screen 6
Reach this screen’s checkpoints and continue through Level 1.
- Skipping stones
- Rock platforms
- Lily-pad currents
Match this layout: Three stones, including one entering from Screen 5, sit near a lily pad and the checkpoint island.
Open one clue at a time. The complete sequence stays inside the solution below.
Hint 1
Different sides of the pad produce different motion.
Hint 2
The imported stone reaches the pad’s column by north two, west, north two, west seven.
Show full solution
- Move the left stone east into the pad’s column and launch it south. Move the middle stone east, north, then west five tiles; launch it south from the column left of the pad.
The two shots first move the pad south, then east.
- Move the imported stone north twice, west once, north twice, and west seven tiles. Launch it south into the pad.
The stone rides the pad in the required column.
- Walk the route and push the riding stone south to extend it to the checkpoint.
The moving object becomes the last bridge segment.
- Launch the left stone north over the water, then move it west and south to the bottom island’s west edge. Push it west over the one-tile water gap.
This establishes the first support for the westward bridge.
- Launch the other stone west until it hits that support, then move the stone west into Screen 7.
The paired stones connect the following screen.
If the sequence stops working
- Screen 7’s first treasure route needs the stone from this westward bridge.
Sources and scope
These instructions cover the layout described above. A similar-looking board may need a different sequence.
Treasure 1
Collect the marked treasure on the Level 1 detour.
- Rock platforms
- Treasure route
- Cross-screen objects
Match this layout: A detour from Screen 7 into the bottom-right water, using the final stone brought from Screen 6.
Open one clue at a time. The complete sequence stays inside the solution below.
Hint 1
The treasure room contains an object needed for the main route.
Hint 2
Build on the top brown rock, then bring the stone beside the treasure back north.
Show full solution
- Align the final Screen 6 stone with the upper brown rock in the bottom-right water and push it west onto that rock.
The fixed brown rock supports the beginning of the detour.
- Move the Screen 7 stone south three, east two, south, west, then south. Push it east from the land immediately west of the first stone.
This completes the bottom-right path.
- Cross and walk to the treasure tile, two tiles east of the stone.
The detour reaches the collectible.
- Push the stone immediately west of the treasure north along the entry route and take it into Screen 7.
Screen 7’s timed pad crossing needs this extra stone.
If the sequence stops working
- Collecting the treasure without returning its neighboring stone leaves Screen 7 short of an object.
Sources and scope
These instructions cover the layout described above. A similar-looking board may need a different sequence.
Screen 7
Reach this screen’s checkpoints and continue through Level 1.
- Timed lily pads
- Skipping stones
- Cross-screen objects
Match this layout: The main Screen 7 route begins after Treasure 1; one stone was brought back from that detour.
Open one clue at a time. The complete sequence stays inside the solution below.
Hint 1
Launch the second pad after the first has traveled three tiles.
Hint 2
Place one stone at the protruding land tile and its partner southeast of it before the timed launches.
Show full solution
- Move the treasure-room stone east once, west four tiles, then east once. From its west side, push it north onto the land tile protruding toward the pad.
The stone has reached its launch point.
- Move the other stone north four, west four, north six, then west once, placing it southeast of the first.
The two launch lines can now move the pad pair.
- Push that stone west into the pad. After the pad has moved three tiles, push the remaining stone west so the second pad lands south, just east of the first pad.
The timing makes the pads form one crossing; slow time can help.
- Cross to the checkpoint and touch the brown orb. Push the stone west of the checkpoint east once, then south until it stops.
The next launch puts a pad into the onward current.
- Board the pad when it passes on the left and ride to the next screen and checkpoint.
The current carries the character onward.
If the sequence stops working
- Without the stone from Treasure 1, the prescribed starting arrangement cannot be made.
- A second launch before or after the three-tile timing point fails to align the pads.
Sources and scope
These instructions cover the layout described above. A similar-looking board may need a different sequence.
Screen 8
Reach this screen’s checkpoints and continue through Level 1.
- Timed lily pads
- Rock platforms
- Lily-pad currents
Match this layout: Northwest, northeast, and southeast islands sit among three lily pads and multiple stones.
Open one clue at a time. The complete sequence stays inside the solution below.
Hint 1
Launches are followed by rides; do not move all three stones before crossing.
Hint 2
The third pad lets you push its stone south as you step off.
Show full solution
- Move the first stone east, then south until it stops in the water. Ride the released lower pad through the left current to the northwest island.
The first pad supplies access to the next stone.
- Push the upper stone east until it stops. Move the remaining stone west, then south until it stops.
The second and third pads enter their currents.
- Board the last moving pad, step onto the first island, and push the stone south as you disembark. Move it east, north, then east until it stops on the northeast island.
The riding stone is reused for the next crossing.
- Cross the pads northeast. Push the lower stone south onto the southeast island; bring the other stone into its column and push it across the water.
The two stones create the southeast land route.
- Push the stone south into Screen 9.
The next screen begins with the transferred object.
If the sequence stops working
- The last pad must be boarded while moving; waiting on the starting island misses the disembark-and-push step.
Sources and scope
These instructions cover the layout described above. A similar-looking board may need a different sequence.
Screen 9
Reach this screen’s checkpoints and continue through Level 1.
- Timed lily pads
- Skipping stones
- Lily-pad currents
Match this layout: Two lily pads move in a current beside stones and a southeast checkpoint.
Open one clue at a time. The complete sequence stays inside the solution below.
Hint 1
The character rides the back pad; the stone occupies the front one.
Hint 2
Launch the second pad so it sits next to the first, then wait for the left vertical current before pushing south.
Show full solution
- Place the first stone above the upper pad and launch it west until it stops. Ride the released pad to the northeast checkpoint.
The first pad establishes the moving route.
- Put the lower stone in the column immediately west of the left pad. Launch it south with timing that puts both pads next to each other in the current.
The pair creates a pushing arrangement on water.
- Move the remaining stone to the island’s bottom row and push it onto the front pad. Board the rear pad.
The character can now push from behind the cargo.
- When the pair is in the left vertical current, push the stone south. Step off at the southeast island and walk to the checkpoint.
This sends the lower pad east to the destination.
If the sequence stops working
- Boarding the front pad leaves no position behind the stone for the southward push.
Sources and scope
These instructions cover the layout described above. A similar-looking board may need a different sequence.
Screen 10
Continue the Level 1 loop and reach the ruin on the return visit.
- Timed lily pads
- Lily-pad currents
- Loop route
Match this layout: A lily pad and stone form the detour toward Screen 11 and the final return current to Screen 1.
Open one clue at a time. The complete sequence stays inside the solution below.
Hint 1
The first visit does not finish the level.
Hint 2
On the return visit, get below the stone before pushing it north and catching the pad.
Show full solution
- On the first visit, push the stone south to send the pad east into the current. Ride it to Screen 11 and continue through Screens 12–13.
This is the onward detour, not the final stone arrangement.
- After returning, move the stone north, east, south, then west three tiles.
The stone now occupies the column east of the pad.
- Go north, cross the pad, and follow the island route until you stand below the stone.
This is the side needed for the finishing launch.
- Push the stone north, sending the pad west. Immediately run west and north to board it and reach the ruin.
The moving pad only briefly passes the boarding point.
- Board again promptly and ride into the current returning to Screen 1.
The loop closes the first level.
If the sequence stops working
- Using the final four-direction sequence on the first visit skips the intended Screen 11 detour.
- Missing the pad after the northward push requires retrying the timed launch.
Sources and scope
These instructions cover the layout described above. A similar-looking board may need a different sequence.
Screen 11
Reach this screen’s checkpoints and continue through Level 1.
- Current diversion
- Skipping stones
- Lily-pad currents
Match this layout: Reached by the first Screen 10 detour; a bottom stone sits beneath another stone across the water.
Open one clue at a time. The complete sequence stays inside the solution below.
Hint 1
The first launch changes the current rather than making a walking bridge.
Hint 2
The second stone launches from below the pad but is pushed west.
Show full solution
- Move the lower stone north twice, east once, then north across water into the upper stone.
The collision redirects the current.
- Move the other stone east once and south twice to the column edge below the pad, then push it west.
The pad travels north into the redirected current.
- Ride to the eastern island and checkpoint. Continue into the Treasure 2 route to arrange the onward crossing to Screen 12.
The next stone transfer is part of that detour.
If the sequence stops working
- Launching the pad before diverting the current sends it along the old route.
Sources and scope
These instructions cover the layout described above. A similar-looking board may need a different sequence.
Treasure 2
Collect the marked treasure on the Level 1 detour.
- Treasure route
- Timed lily pads
- Rock platforms
Match this layout: A side route from Screen 11’s eastern checkpoint leads to a treasure area containing two lily pads.
Open one clue at a time. The complete sequence stays inside the solution below.
Hint 1
Plan the return before riding to the treasure.
Hint 2
Launch the right-hand stone first, then the left-hand stone, producing separate outbound and return pads.
Show full solution
- Push the left stone east three tiles onto the brown water rock. Push the other stone against it and cross the formed path into the detour screen.
The paired stones provide the entrance.
- Move the left stone west once and south twice; move the right stone east once and south once. Launch the right stone south, then the left stone south.
Both pads enter the rightward current in the required order.
- Ride the first pad to the eastern island, collect the treasure promptly, and use the second pad to return.
The second pad supplies the return crossing.
- On the route back toward Screen 11, push the upper stone west and the lower stone north. While crossing the brown-rock path, push the stone west, then south toward the southeast island and checkpoint.
These objects build the onward route.
- Push the remaining stone south into Screen 12.
The next screen uses the imported stone.
If the sequence stops working
- A late treasure pickup can miss the second pad that supplies the return.
- Do not leave the last stone behind when moving on to Screen 12.
Sources and scope
These instructions cover the layout described above. A similar-looking board may need a different sequence.
Screen 12
Reach this screen’s checkpoints and continue through Level 1.
- Current diversion
- Lily-pad currents
- Rock platforms
Match this layout: Three stones and two pads lead to a central island and a checkpoint to its west.
Open one clue at a time. The complete sequence stays inside the solution below.
Hint 1
The right stone launches once from above the upper pad, then from below the lower pad.
Hint 2
After reaching the center, align both working stones with the checkpoint’s row.
Show full solution
- Launch the far-left stone south across water. Move the middle stone west twice and south into it.
The collision redirects the current.
- Move the right stone above the upper pad and launch it west through water; return it east. Move it below the lower pad and launch it west again. Cross on the released pads to the central island.
The two launch rows send the pads toward each other’s crossing route.
- Move the left stone south three tiles. Move the top-right stone west twice, south twice, then west into it. Push the first stone west twice onto the checkpoint.
The stones now share the checkpoint’s row.
- Send the remaining stone east over water, then move it north and west into its new central-island position. Move it north, west, south twice, then west until it stops.
The reused stone completes the walkable checkpoint path.
- Push the stone west four tiles into Screen 13.
The next screen depends on this object.
If the sequence stops working
- The two pad launches require different rows; repeating only the upper launch does not release the lower pad correctly.
Sources and scope
These instructions cover the layout described above. A similar-looking board may need a different sequence.
Screen 13
Reach this screen’s checkpoints and continue through Level 1.
- Current diversion
- Rock platforms
- Lily-pad currents
Match this layout: Three stones connect a small landmass before the lower pad carries you back toward Screen 10.
Open one clue at a time. The complete sequence stays inside the solution below.
Hint 1
First reach the small island, then send two stones west into the same collision line.
Hint 2
The last pad is launched from the column immediately east of it.
Show full solution
- Move the second stone east, then north across the water tile. Move the third stone west, then north twice.
This opens the small-island route.
- Stand on the water stone and move the stone above it north twice, east, west, south five tiles, west, then north twice. Launch it west across water.
The long reposition brings it to the small island’s western launch side.
- Move the left stone on the first island east, then north twice. Launch it west into the preceding stone.
The collision changes the current.
- Bring the remaining stone into the column immediately east of the lower pad and launch it south until it stops. Ride the westward pad to the next checkpoint.
The new current returns you toward Screen 10’s finishing visit.
If the sequence stops working
- The westward collision must happen before launching the last pad into the current.
Sources and scope
These instructions cover the layout described above. A similar-looking board may need a different sequence.
