Update check: the October 14 patch notes include changes to some mixed-world puzzles and Skipping Stones checkpoints. Match the affected room before treating an older shortcut as a current solution.
The Mirrors and Stones guides below cover later combined areas where the Trader's mirrors and the Sailor's skipping stones share a board. They are separate from the early Mirror Isles walkthrough. Match the part, stage label and starting arrangement before revealing a solution.
Choose your part and stage
| Guide | Coverage in this site | Identifying mechanic |
|---|---|---|
| Part 2 | Four numbered stages and the Stamp Stage: 5 entries | Mirror transfers, timed stone movement and lily pads |
| Part 4 | Five numbered stages and the Stamp Stage: 6 entries | Trader and Sailor interactions, reflected stones and bridge routes |
The 11 entries are the coverage of this guide collection, not the total puzzle count for the combined world. Parts 1 and 3 are not documented here. A Stamp Stage is named separately from the numbered stages, so do not increase a stage number to locate it.
Work out what is blocking the route
A stone reaches water but creates no usable path: inspect where the Trader must stand after the transfer. A bridge is useful only if the next mirror adjustment remains reachable. Undo the last transfer if it removed the approach you need.
A timed stone passes the interaction point: compare the relevant entry's timing note and starting arrangement. A setup problem and a timing problem require different corrections; repeated throws cannot repair a mirror aimed at the wrong destination.
The room contains a Wizard or other heroes: check Heroes and Water Part 1 and the starting-layout description. Familiar water and mirrors do not establish that the room belongs to the same stage series.
You cannot find your part: use the full puzzle finder to search a visible object or mechanic. If no documented layout matches, these routes do not establish a solution for your room. Use undo and reset to inspect the last useful state before experimenting further.
Use hints without opening the entire solution
Open the appropriate part, select the entry matching your board, then reveal Hint 1. Keep the full sequence closed if you only need help identifying the next relationship. Each solution explains the purpose of its actions and includes source and scope notes.
Mark an entry Stuck when you want to return later. The completion tracker shares your local checklist across these guides and offers export and import. It cannot read your game save, and it measures covered entries only.
